Expanding economic opportunity to our northern neighbors

In our efforts on our home soil, it became abundantly clear that inequality expands beyond our borders; and we aim to change that.

In our efforts on our home soil, it became abundantly clear that inequality expands beyond our borders; and we aim to change that.

Over the last year, we’ve been working hard to empower our members and help them overcome the accessibility barriers hindering their growth. Through coaching, mentorship, and programs, we share the tools to reduce economic inequality and are paving the way to help all underrepresented entrepreneurs in the US. In our efforts on our home soil, it became abundantly clear that inequality expands beyond our borders; and we aim to change that. Canada’s economy is evolving. However, its current economic drivers reflect a limitation that largely impacts its underserved business owners. As the nation moves away from its resource-based economy, transitioning to a thought-based economy, there is room for innovation and growth, from Haida Gwaii and Vancouver Island to Saint John and St. John’s.

The goal of our movement into Canada is to unite Canadian entrepreneurs and innovators in the shared desire of riding the tide of rapid change and learning through championing the ingenuity and enterprise of the diverse communities we aim to serve globally. We have the opportunity to further expand resources in Canada to talented business owners otherwise hindered by geography, ethnicity, and gender. Ureeka Canada will acknowledge, leverage, and accelerate these shifts to create new industry leadership roles for Canadian entrepreneurs

Ureeka Canada is the expansion of Ureeka’s mission for equity and empowerment extended to the North. At the helm are Joseph Sexsmith and Tracy Duong, who together bring global experience to the ambitious undertaking. Through their leadership, we are building a culture of human connectedness, of friends building up friends, in a collective effort to boost the prospects of all Canadians who would traditionally lack the access, resources, funding, and knowledge.

Stay tuned later this week to hear about the ‘Ureeka moments’ that carved this path forward for our Canada cohorts!
